ABOUT ME

I am a junior at the University of Texas studying journalism and Latin American religions. I've worked in both student media and professional outlets with a special interest in written and radio works. This semester I'm looking forward to interning at the Austin American–Statesman where I'll cover local news. In the past, I've worked at Austin's NPR Station and the San Antonio Current. I've participated in a fellowship with NPR's Next Generation Radio and my video work has appeared in BBC Persian. Coming from a small town in Houston, I love everything that a big-city area like Austin has to offer. I plan to follow journalism wherever it takes me, but if all goes well, I hope to one day live and report in Latin America.
